SAJ B2 Series Home Battery

The B2 series is a high-voltage battery designed to pair with SAJ hybrid inverters. If you already have a compatible SAJ hybrid inverter, the battery connects directly. If not, we quote the inverter swap alongside the battery. Send us a photo of your inverter label and we will confirm the path.

Size it to your evening and overnight use, not your daily total. Each module holds 4.5 kWh usable, so most Perth households land at two or three modules (9–13.5 kWh usable). Ducted air conditioning, a pool pump or an EV pushes it higher. You can add modules later, so start with what you need now.

Up to five 5 kWh modules — 25 kWh total — in one stack, sharing a single control module. The modular design means a top-up in a few years is not held back by what you install today.

Yes, when paired with a SAJ hybrid inverter that supports backup. It can power a set of essential circuits when the grid goes down, depending on the stack size and inverter rating. We work out which circuits matter before quoting.

Yes. The enclosure is IP65 rated and operates from 0 °C to 50 °C when charging and −10 °C to 50 °C when discharging, so a garage wall, carport or shaded exterior wall all work. It can be wall-mounted or ground-mounted.

Yes. SAJ B2 batteries are CEC-approved, so they qualify for the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program. We apply the discount up front on your quote rather than asking you to claim it back. Ask us for current WA figures — the rate steps down each year.

Depth of discharge is how much of the battery you can actually use. At 90%, a 5 kWh module delivers 4.5 kWh of usable energy every cycle while protecting the cells for long life.

SAJ backs the B2 series with a manufacturer warranty and Australian-based support. We handle the claim: you call us, we lodge it and carry out the swap. Our own 10-year workmanship warranty sits on top.
